I
consider myself a “contemporary oil painter” focused on “expressionistic” portraiture and figures.
Through my paintings I take personal journeys through moments in time, and confront the viewer with the emotion of my subject.
The canvas becomes my reflective interpretation of inner conflict and resolution.

I paint landscapes to reflect my emotional connection to
nature’s endless variety, brilliance and beauty. My work is constantly evolving as I search for the way to show the
“essence “ of paints relationship to the canvas as a reflection of the subject.
My travel memories are extended with paintings that conjure up the sight, smell and feel
of the location rather than reproducing photographic detail.
